How do Dark-eyed Juncos send out a warning alarm to other members of the flock?


When danger is sensed, a flash of white tail feathers lets others know of danger. This species eats mainly insects and seed; but will sometimes consume their own droppings.


A group is known as a “crew”, “flutter”, “meine”, “quarell”, or a “ubquity” of juncos
